A New Media Event is automatically created for a camera device.  The New Media Event is activated when the camera device records an MPEG video clip to disk.  The Status of the New Media Event indicates how many unviewed MPEG clips exists:

The Log Window of the camera device will display the name and location of the MPEG video clip:

Video clips are stored in a "video" directory beneath the treehouse working directory.  The files are named according to the Node Key (internal reference to a node), device name and date, time the video clip was recorded.

<node Key><device name><datetime><N>ot viewed -or- <V>iewed.MOV

To view video clips:

  1. From the Node Bar, click to Video Playback icon .  The Video Playback icon will only appear if there are video clips that have not yet been viewed.

From the Options Menu, select Movie Player:

  1. Select the clip to be viewed from the file selection dialog:

  1. Video clips are displayed in a re-sizable window, with contorls to rewind and fast-forward :

  1. When you have finished viewing the video clip, the following dialog will appear:
